October 2008

October has come to a close, and I would like to take this opportunity to recap on the events that occurred at Alliance Physical Therapy over the past month.  October is National Physical Therapy month and to celebrate this, our clinic, along with all of the physical therapists, physical therapist assistants and physical therapist support personnel of our community, sponsored the first annual 5K run/walk event on October 18th.  The theme, "Because I Can," came from the idea that participants would walk or run in memory/honor of someone who is no longer able to.  The free-will donation proceeds from the event went to the Foundation for Physical Therapy, which in turn funds research and topics relevant to the field of physical therapy.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the volunteers, participants, sponsors and businesses that helped to make this event possible.

Alliance Physical Therapy also held an open house and cook out.  This year, even though it was cold and windy, we still had a very good turnout by the community.  Each year, we see many of the same patrons and most comment that they look forward to this annual event.  I want to thank those folks for coming out to help us celebrate our 14th year in Alliance!  Thanks to Pepsi for donating the pop, and thanks to the 'good old boys' who supplied the grill.

We are very fortunate, as employees of Alliance Physical Therapy, to have a successful business, which would not be possible without the support of the community.  These events are an indication of that support, and because of that, we will continue to strive in providing the best in physical therapy care to the community.

Yours in health,

Matt
