Christmas Greetings!

Class PT101 is "dismissed" for Christmas break!  Yes, at this "school," as in the hearts of many of you, it is right and proper to use the word "Christmas."  To ignore the name of the One who gives us reason for all the hope, joy and celebration of Christmas is to deny reality.

This week, there are no "health tips," no "anatomy lessons" and no promotion of physical therapy.  This week, the only thing I encourage you to read is Luke 1 and Luke 2 in the Bible.  Do you think you're already so familiar with this passage that you don't need to open your Bible . . . you've got it memorized?

Maybe you're thinking you'll just wait and hear someone else read it on Christmas Eve . . . at your church or with your family.  My friend, I encourage you to read it alone, in a quiet place, after you have prayed and asked God to soften your heart to the words.  Ask Him to let those words speak to you, personally, in a new and fresh way.

Or, are you just the opposite?  Maybe you know there's a Bible somewhere in your home, but it hasn't been opened, let alone read, for years (maybe never).  Dig it out, dust it off and send the same request up in prayer, asking God to make the words come alive in your heart.  (God will always honor a sincere request to know Him better!)

Remember, folks, when you read this passage you are not reading a "story."  You are reading an historical account of an act of God.  An act by One who loves you, me and ALL people.  As the angel announced to the shepherds, "I bring you good news of great joy that will be for ALL people!"

A blessed Christmas to you all,

Karen and all the staff of Alliance Physical Therapy
